From a Philadelphia corner grocery store to a $10 million-a-year closer — living proof that where you start doesn’t have to determine where you finish.

Murray Bernstein · $100M+ in lifetime sales
Still closing. Still winning.
Real-world experience
Teaching others to win
The ultimate goal
Sometimes all it takes is the right mindset, the right skills, and someone willing to show you the way. That’s exactly why Murray Bernstein created Strive 4 Sales.
Murray doesn't just teach sales. He lives it, practicing the same techniques and strategies he teaches.
Thousands of real conversations, countless objections overcome, and decades learning what makes customers say yes.
Reps he's coached have exceeded $6 million in annual sales — proof the principles can be replicated.
To help you build the skills, confidence and earning potential for a better future for you and your family.
Murray grew up in a blue-collar Philadelphia family where hard work wasn’t optional. For 75 years, his family’s corner grocery store had been a neighborhood institution, and Murray always assumed he’d take it over.
Then a national supermarket opened down the street. Unable to compete, the store closed. Suddenly he had no job, no income and no plan — just a high school diploma and a lifetime of grocery experience.
Until one classified ad caught his attention:
Those three words — No experience needed — would change the course of his life.
For 30 days Murray studied the sales curriculum, memorized every script and rehearsed until he knew them by heart. In training, he was outstanding. In the real world, he was failing. Homeowners listened and complimented the products — but they weren’t buying.
After four frustrating weeks, the owner called him into his office. Murray hoped for expert advice. Instead:
For most people, that would have been the end. For Murray, it was just the beginning.
He convinced the owner to give him one final appointment. On the way, he rehearsed his window presentation over and over. But when he arrived, the homeowners didn’t want windows. They wanted siding — and Murray knew almost nothing about it.
With no memorized pitch to lean on, he did something different. He stopped talking, and started asking questions:
Why did they want new siding?
Why did they want new siding?
What frustrated them about their current home?
What frustrated them about their current home?
What mattered most to them?
What mattered most to them?
What were they hoping their investment would accomplish?
What were they hoping their investment would accomplish?
The more he listened, the more they opened up. He began to understand what they really wanted — not just siding, but a solution to their problems. He closed the sale.
That single appointment became the foundation of Murray’s entire philosophy. Customers don’t want to be pressured. They want to be heard and understood, and to trust that the person across from them cares about helping them choose well.
The most successful salespeople aren’t necessarily the best talkers. They’re the best listeners, the best problem-solvers, and the best at building trust.
Murray rebuilt his approach around understanding people instead of presenting products. His results exploded. Within months he was breaking company sales records, and the same owner who told him to quit promoted him to sales manager.
Murray never forgot what it felt like to have no income, no direction, and someone telling him he wasn’t good enough. He also never forgot the opportunities that opened up once he learned how to sell.
Sales gave him something more valuable than a paycheck: control over his future. Now he wants to help others discover the same.
No empty motivational speeches. No theories from people who’ve never done it. Just real sales education from someone who’s been in your shoes.
